SAINT FRANCIS MEDICAL CENTER

ICU
For pioneers and settlers coming
to the Central Plains, quilting
was a reminder of family and
friends left behind. Providing
practical warmth as well as
emotional comfort, they are a
tribute to the resourcefulness
of early settlers. Here in the
ICU, quilts add comfort and
warmth in what could otherwise
be a sterile environment.
